These are not the cheapest rates on the Peninsula, and it would be strange to pretend otherwise. Here is exactly what the money buys.

The prices

First appointment$16040 minutesAssessment and treatment in the same visit.
Standard appointment$16040 minutesThe usual follow-up for anything complex or multi-region.
Short appointment$13520 minutesFocused follow-up once the problem is well understood.

Nothing to pay when you book. You settle up on the day, and any health fund rebate comes off at the counter through HICAPS.

Why it's priced there

The honest version: if you want the lowest price per hour on the Peninsula, it isn't here. If you've already spent more than this on things that didn't hold, that's the comparison worth making.

Health fund rebates

Myotherapy is claimable with most funds that include it in extras cover. HICAPS is on site, so the rebate comes off at the counter and you pay the gap — you're not out of pocket waiting for a claim.

Rebates vary a great deal by fund and by level of cover, so the only number that means anything is your own. Ring your fund and ask what they pay for myotherapy specifically — some funds cover remedial massage but not myotherapy, or the other way around.

No referral is needed for myotherapy, and no doctor's paperwork is required to claim.

The $97 first visit

You may have seen a first appointment advertised at $97 instead of $160. It's a real offer and it's the same appointment described on this page — same forty minutes, same assessment, same treatment, same myotherapist.

It normally runs only on the pages our ads point to. But if you've read this far, compared the prices and you're new here, you may as well have it. Pick a time below.

New patients only, one per person. Nothing to pay now — $97 on the day. Every appointment after your first is the standard price above.

Dale Peirson, Senior Myotherapist, at work in the Mornington clinic Senior Myotherapist · 25 years

Dale Peirson

Twenty-five years of hands on people who'd been told to rest it. Dale's caseload is chronic and complex — the backs, shoulders and necks that have already been through a few other pairs of hands.

He's the only myotherapist here, so the person who assesses you is the person who treats you, every visit.
