Desk & Office Pain · Mornington
Fine at nine. Wrecked by four. Every day. It probably isn't your chair, and it probably isn't your posture. Forty minutes to find out what's actually loading up.
$97 from this page · normally $160 · pay on the day

Desk-driven pain is the fastest-growing thing walking through this door, and the one most often blamed on furniture. Eight hours in one shape is a load problem, not a shopping problem.
No. A massage treats the tightness at five o'clock. Myotherapy asks what happened between nine and four to put it there.
If it builds through the day and clears overnight, the tissue isn't damaged — it's being loaded beyond what it currently tolerates. What fatigues first, in what order, and which two or three changes to your actual day take the load off. That's what the assessment is for.
"I've bought the chair and the standing desk and it's exactly the same."
What patients tell DaleThis is not a warm-up appointment where you come back next week for the actual treatment. All four of these happen on the first visit.
What you do, what set it off, what you've already tried, and what it's stopping you doing.
What fatigues first, what the mid-back and shoulder blades are doing, and where the load lands after six hours. Testing, not guessing.
You get told what's actually going on, in plain words, before anything else happens.
Hands-on work starts in the same appointment, plus the two or three things to change between now and next time.
Twenty-five years of hands on people who'd been told to fix their posture. Dale's caseload is chronic and complex — including a steady stream of people whose only injury is their job.
He's the only myotherapist here, so the person who assesses you is the person who treats you, every visit.
Sitting all day wrecked my lower back, but Dale's targeted myotherapy provided immediate relief. Highly recommend his clinic for anyone dealing with desk-related chronic back pain!
If you're stuck at a desk all week, book with Dale. His mix of clinical massage and posture advice quickly undid all my upper back stiffness. Fantastic local myotherapist!

How much have you already spent on chairs, desks and gadgets that didn't fix it? The point of the assessment is to find what's actually loading up.
Tell Dale at the start, and expect to be pointed next door. Pain, pins and needles or weakness are nerve signs, and the spine and nervous system are a chiropractor's field rather than a myotherapist's — sciatica and radicular pain especially. Mornington Peninsula Chiropractic is in this building, so an assessment is a walk down the corridor, not another search.
No. Book directly.
Some of the hands-on work is firm, and Dale will tell you before he does it. Nothing happens without you knowing what and why.
No. You'll be told what fatigues first and what to change about how long you hold a position — which is a different and far more useful thing than sitting up straight.
Yes. The clinic runs to 7pm, Monday to Thursday, and the booking form only ever shows times Dale is actually free. Late slots go first.
Myotherapy is claimable with most funds that include it in extras cover. Check your level of cover — rebates vary.
